I bring mobile workshops to events, festivals and characterful locations throughout Ireland's Ancient East.
Normally, at this stage of the year, I'd be running mobile workshops at events and festivals around Ireland, but lockdown brought a change of plans. Over the last few months, I've been concentrating on developing new designs that celebrate Irish words, heritage and culture.
'Just Like Shackleton' Workshops - To commemorate the journal-making of Arctic Explorer Ernest Shackleton, I collaborated with the Shackleton Museum to offer hands-on journal-making workshops. At each journal-making workshop, participants create their own cloth-covered journal or notebook using recycled papers and eco-friendly inks. They also screenprint the Shackleton motto 'By Endurance We Conquer' on the cover. (See the workshop description).
I hosted Live Screen Printing Workshops at Cruinniú na Óg, festivals and farmers markets. Sometimes we printed words, sometimes images - it's ok to draw a féileacán - we don't all need to write Gaeilge!Markets/Demonstrations
Gifted - I exhibited at GIFTED in the RDS at stand 38 from the 4th December to 8th December. I also offered screen printing demos in the area coordinated by the Design and Craft Council of Ireland.
Terenure Christmas market on the 30th November.
Farmleigh Market on the 14th, 21st & 22nd December.
